Bells Thatcher

Isabella Thatcher (Bells) is a Los Angeles-based actor and musician known for her solo, chamber music, theatrical and spoken word collaborations with the Malibu Friends of Music, the Montgomery Arts House for Music & Architecture, Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester, Central Washington University, the Bainbridge BARN, Omaha Conservatory of Music, the Washington State Capitol Rotunda Concert Series, Ashland New Plays Festival, OSF's Black Swan Theatre, OCA's Dorothy Stolp Mainstage Theatre, and has toured extensively throughout the continental United States.
Honored as Leon Mulling Scholar, Bells earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Performance and Minor in Musical Theatre summa cum laude from the Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University.

In addition to performing, Bells works as a solo music (cello, voice, ukulele) and theatre instructor and has collaborated as an instructor with Viewpoint School, Malibu Music, Find Your Voice (T3 Productions, LLC), and Once Upon a Time Theatre, among others, to help nurture the next generation of artists of all ages.

During her time at Oregon Center for the Arts, Bells developed a passion for acting and comedic improvisation. In the first term of her freshman year, after an audition process, she was accepted onto the school’s longest running and award-winning improv team – The Next Best Thing – of which she went on to become captain, leading the group through rehearsals and exercises and planning performances all over campus and beyond.

As a singer/songwriter/composer, Bells has had her compositions and original works featured in film and television, including the eleven-episode urban fantasy web series: “Burn The Witch: The Series,” and the theatrical short film, “Tempo Rubato.”

Bells can be seen as Martha Goode in Burn The Witch: The Series, The Pianist/Esther Koskoff in Tempo Rubato, and as a featured performing artist as a part of the global streaming series “Montgomery Arts House Presents.”
