HI, I’M DAVE.
An Improv Show
PRODUCTION STAFF

Director: Jeanette Airen

PLOT
Dave is single, ready to mingle, and on a mission to find the perfect match—but there’s a twist! In this completely unscripted improv play, Dave goes on a whirlwind of four blind dates, each bringing unexpected surprises and hilarity. The catch? The audience decides the unique personality traits, quirks, and professions of each of Dave’s dates, making every performance a completely new adventure.
Set in the cozy yet bustling atmosphere of the same restaurant, Dave navigates awkward introductions, outrageous conversations, and laugh-out-loud moments, all while being hilariously supported (or sabotaged) by the eccentric waiter and insightful bartender. After all four dates have unfolded, the audience gets to vote on which date should win Dave’s heart.
Will Dave find true love, or will chaos ensue? It’s all in the hands of the cast—and the audience! Expect unexpected twists, sharp wit, and plenty of laughs in this interactive and unpredictable dating game of an improv play.

CHARACTERS

All roles can be played by actors ages 18+.

1. Dave
The hopeless romantic at the center of the story, Dave is genuine, funny, and relatable. He’s looking for love but often finds himself in awkward or unpredictable situations. Requires a strong improviser who can react to the quirky personalities of his dates while keeping the story grounded and engaging.
2. The Dates (4 roles)
These roles are completely audience-driven, with personalities and professions determined on the spot. Actors auditioning for these roles must be quick on their feet, versatile, and capable of bringing a variety of characters to life. Each “date” should have a distinct personality, charm, or comedic twist, creating unique chemistry with Dave.
3. Waiter
The over-the-top, meddling restaurant server who interacts with Dave and his dates, often adding to the comedy with interruptions, commentary, or unexpected antics. This character should be full of energy and capable of stealing the scene with their quirks and comedic timing.

All roles require strong improvisational skills, comedic instincts, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic, unscripted ensemble.
